LEI, Inc. accepts mercury devices and debris for retort. EPA Land-Disposal Restrictions mandate that all wastes containing mercury at levels greater than 260mg/kg (totals) be sent for retort or IMERC (incineration.) Retort is the best option because of the subsequent environmental liability and high disposal costs of incinerating mercury wastes.
LEI, Inc. maintains a RCRA Part-B Permit to recycle all types of mercury wastes. We are the only mercury waste recycling facility to be ISO 14001 certified.
